Black History Month

Our Keynote speaker will be the Honorable Jean Augustine
Fairness Commissioner and former Member of Parliament

Our aim is to bring the community dignitaries, diplomats, politicians, civil society and private sectors together to recognize remarkable people that have changed and affected lives in Durham region. The evening will commence with a private dinner reception with ample time being given for social interaction and discussion during the formal proceedings.
We will be hosting a health seminar and workshop on February 21st 2015 from 1-4pm. we have invited the following agencies;

The Heart and Stroke Foundation
Diabetes Association of Canada
Canadian Breast Association
Black Caps (HIV/Aids group)
The sickle cell Awareness group of Ontario

In addition we have also invited,

Help Fight Ebola Canada
Mental Health Durham Association
The National Kidney Foundation of Canada
as we strive to make this a remarkable opportunity for this community to gather information and awareness about services accessible to them.
